Sifu Whitmore has studied and taught Martial Arts for more than twenty-five years. In 1975 and later in 1978, he studied Wing Chun under three famous Wing Chun Instructors, who were trained by Grandmaster Yip Man: Sifu Duncan Leung and Sifu Moy Yat and Grandmaster William Cheung. Sonny in Moy Yat groupIn1983, Grandmaster William Cheung of Traditional Wing Chun accepted Sifu Whitmore as a personal student. He attributes William Cheung with having the most influence on his Wing Chun. He was one of the firsts of Grandmaster Cheung's original students sanctioned to teach the Traditional Wing Chun System in New York. In 1994, he was one of the first two students of Master Cheung's Tenth Level Gold Sash Instructors, to receive his Third Degree ranking in the United States.

Sifu Whitmore is a Registered Respiratory Therapist and a Reiki Master and is well respected both nationally and internationally in the Wing Chun system. He has produced one Gold Sash Instructor, Sifu Randy Koller. Sifu Koller has a school in Mt Penn, Pennsylvania where he also teaches Yang and Chen Style Tai Chi.

Sifu Whitmore is a Bail Enforcement Officer and was the Chief Tactical Instructor for the Queens Division of Bail Enforcement Officers. He also trains New York City Police and Correction Officers, Professional and Amateur Boxers. He has worked with the World Boxing Organization and President and Hall of Fame’s, Joe Torres and Professional Boxer Ralph Ramos. Cus D’Amato personally trained Mr. Ramos along with Mike Tyson. Together they worked towards the development of Wing Chun training for World Class Boxers.

A.M.T. THE HEALING ART

Sifu Whitmore emphasizes the combat capabilities of Wing Chun and the Internal and healing aspects of Kung Fu as well. He has developed his own healing technique called Accu-Point Meridian Therapy. It is based on higher level healing principles and over ten years of consistent successful results. It roots from the principles of Reiki, Kinesiology, Pressure Point therapy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. It has proven to be one of the most efficient methods of Pressure Point healing in the world today. It is used in the treatment of numerous acute and chronic ailments, which have little success when treated using western medical practices. In eighty percent of the cases experienced results almost immediately. AMT is used in treatment of Spinal, Bone, Joint, Muscle pain, Tendon and Ligament pain and injury. Sifu Whitmore is presently submitting a proposal to a major New York Hospital, for the study of AMT and it’s effect, in the treatment of Acute and Chronic Asthma.
